Colonel Frédéric GAUTHIER, Deputy Director for Sub-Saharan Africa at the Security and Defence Cooperation Directorate of the French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs, was a guest at EIFORCES on the morning of 10 May 2023 at the Awaé campus.
During this stage of his working visit to Cameroon, the French official exchanged with Brigadier General André Patrice BITOTE on the state and prospects of the partnership between his country and EIFORCES.
From these exchanges, it emerged that France, a major partner of EIFORCES and provider of more than a thousand trainees from 22 African countries since 2011, intends to continue its “physical and dematerialized” presence in a more efficient way, in accordance with the expectations expressed by the Director General of EIFORCES.
A dynamic demonstration of a Democratic Crowd Management exercise by trainees of the 4th Security Unit Commanders Course, one of the courses supported by France, allowed the EIFORCES host to have insight into the multi-dimensional know-how of EIFORCES, a Centre of Excellence of the Economic Community of Central African States and the African Union./-
