Perfect osmosis between EIFORCES and UNDP

“There is perfect osmosis between the International School for Security Forces (EIFORCES) and the United Nations Development Program (UNDP)”.

This is the summary of cooperation between the two institutions, as described by the Brigadier General André Patrice during an audience granted to His Excellency Alassane BA, UNDP Deputy Resident Representative in Cameroon, on 29 October 2019 at the Directorate General of EIFORCES.

During this meeting, which lasted about 45 minutes, the Director General made a roundup of cooperation between the two institutions. He was assisted for this occasion by Madam the Divisional Commissioner, Deputy Director General, the Lieutenant-Colonel, Chief of Staff of the Director General and the Lieutenant-Colonel, Head of the Cooperation Department.

He expressed satisfaction for the valuable support provided by UNDP to EIFORCES throughout the implementation of its training and research missions so far.

Furthermore, the Director General requested UNDP’s support in the follow-up and maintenance of the equipment acquired as a result of this cooperation.

In response, His Excellency Alassane BA, accompanied by UNDP collaborators including Dr. EMINI Zéphirin and Mrs. TSAGUE Hélène, found the partnership between the two institutions, as for this first contact with EIFORCES, to be fruitful and beneficial, thanks to the work done by EIFORCES. He also welcomed EIFORCES’ consideration of gender and human rights issues in line with UN expectations.

With regard to the concerns raised by the Director-General of EIFORCES, the UNDP Deputy Resident Representative stood in favour of UNDP consideration of this issue with a view to providing appropriate responses.
