As part of their African study mission in Cameroon, a 48-strong delegation of trainees and executives from the Jaji Armed Forces Command and Staff College in Kaduna State, Nigeria, visited EIFORCES on the afternoon of 17 May 2023.
This visit gave the opportunity to Brigadier General André Patrice BITOTE, Director General of EIFORCES, and to Air Commodore OLA Emmanuel AKIMBO leading the Nigerian delegation, to exchange on issues of common interest to both schools.
The border issue which was one of the focal points of the visit, was explored through a presentation by Commissioner-Doctor Elie PASSO SONBANG, Head of the EIFORCES Research and Documentation Centre, on the theme “Prevailing issues relating to border control and national security in Cameroon”. This presentation thus enabled the visitors to better grasp the cross-border influences on Cameroon’s security, particularly with Nigeria./-
