DIRECTOR GENERAL’S VISIT TO MOROCCO: AFTER THE CAFRAD, IT WAS TIME FOR VISITING THE TRAINING SCHOOLS.

Following his conference at CAFRAD, the Director General of EIFORCES went on to visit some Moroccan  training institutions.

At the Meknes Royal Military Academy (RMA), Brigadier General André Patrice BITOTE got acquainted with the extent of the know-how of this renowned academy in basic training of Morocco and African military elites. This visit allowed the RMA host to exchange with interlocutors on bilateral cooperation issues between the two institutions. Furthermore, the Director General of EIFORCES was gratified with demonstrations by Cadet Officers, among whom were young Cameroonians.

Moreover, visiting the Royal Moroccan Academy of Gendarmes Officers (EROG) was a great moment of fraternisation between visitor and hosts. The exchanges focused particularly on opportunities for mutually beneficial cooperation between the two training institutions.

These meetings, in addition to the warm welcome reserved at all stages of the tour, was a confirmation of the excellent state of cooperation between Morocco and Cameroon, in the field of training of defence and security forces personnel. As an illustration of this, EIFORCES’ Sub-Lieutenant Issa Salamatou is currently undergoing the EROG field experience training course.

The Brigadier General, Director General of the EIFORCES, was accompanied at all these stages of the visit by the Navy Captain, Cameroon Defence Attaché to the Cameroonian Embassy in Morocco; Madam the Lieutenant-Colonel, Head of the Cooperation Department, and, for the EROG visit, by Madam the Divisional Commissioner, EIFORCES’ Director of Administrative and Financial services./-
